About the pub
"the smallest but busiest pub in Dorking"The Star is a little slate-hung pub on West Street that has been a pub ever since it was built in the 1800s. It's not a gastropub and not a sports bar – it's an arty, welcoming community local, with books and board games in the corner, artwork on the walls and a crowd from every walk of life.
Music runs right through the week: bring your own records on vinyl night, try your hand at open mic, and catch live music on Friday nights. The beer is well kept, with three changing cask ales. There's no kitchen, so bring your own food or have it delivered. Dogs get a biscuit and a bowl, and the pavement tables catch the evening sun.
